Reiki Level I (For Beginners)
Simple and profound, this foundation course is a basic essential for any study of energy and natural healing.
In Reiki I we will explore the concept of natural healing using Reiki, the universal energy. Students are led through a step-by-step discovery of the nature of universal energy, beginning with the concept that everything in the universe, including us, is made of energy. From this discovery we realize that this energy we are all made of can be channeled in healing ways. The channeling of the energy is, in fact, the practice of Reiki.
We learn to give Reiki to ourselves and others, using traditional methods as well as insightful practices gained from the instructor's personal experiences. The course includes:
- Meditation and Creative Visualization
- Exploration of Energy in and around our bodies
- Explanation of The Chakras and Energy Fields of the Body
- History and origins of Reiki
- On-going group discussion
- Hands on Training and Clinical Practice
- Ethical and professional practice
- How to incorporate Reiki both privately and professionally
(You do not have to want to be a professional practitioner to participate) - Manual and certification upon completion of the course
All students are advised to purchase student liability insurance, in addition to the cost of tuition, and provide proof of insurance by the first day of class. Student Liability Insurance is different than health insurance; it insures that students are covered/protected in class, clinic and in all school-sanctioned activities, against any alleged damage or injury to a client. You can purchase your insurance from any legitimate provider. Both the ABMP (Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals) and the IARP (International Association of Reiki Professionals) offer student insurance. If you already have professional liability insurance that covers Reiki, you do not need to purchase student insurance. Simply submit to us your proof of professional coverage. You will be given information on how to purchase this insurance in your student orientation package. If you choose not to purchase student insurance, you will be required to sign a 'student certification of insurance coverage opt-out '. This form states that you've been advised of the benefits of student liability insurance and have chosen not to purchase it.
