The reasons to receive bodywork are varied, from making time for a relaxing massage to getting a doctor prescribed physical therapy session. Rolfing, however, introduces us to the possibility of fundamental change, of bodywork as a tool for deepening our relationship to our bodies and our world.

In this workshop we will explore the principles of Rolfing, do movement and breath work, and have an opportunity to watch and receive some bodywork. And, Brian will answer the basic questions: "How is this possible? How does it work? And does it hurt?"

In this workshop we will explore the fundamental principles of organic gardening and the keys to growing healthy and delicious fruits, vegetables and herbs. Learn how to plan your garden, rooftop, or window box for each season and how to maximize efficiency in small urban spaces. This hands-on workshop will cover in detail: direct seeding, transplanting, soil maintenance, pest and weed control, companion planting and garden design. Perfect for new gardeners!

Debbie Harris has worked on a diversity of farms in Vermont, North Carolina, and New Zealand. As the Garden Coordinator for the Urban Nutrition Initiative, Debbie manages a 12 acre lot at University City High School in West Philadelphia. Debbie is certified in Permaculture Design and has extensive experience teaching gardening and food systems. When she is not getting her hands dirty, Debbie teaches Hatha Yoga and is a Reiki practitioner.

Join us every Wednesday in the quiet of the morning for meditation and discussion. Tania and Kim will hold a space for us to meditate together, and time to share about our practice. All are welcome, even beginners. If you already have an established meditation practice, you are also welcome.

The Reiki School and Clinic near South Street in Philadelphia has two treatment rooms available for rent by the session, the 1/2 day, or full day for qualified wellness practitioners. Our space is growing, and we have the opportunity to share available times with the wonderful energy of healing happening!

This is a great resource for new and developing practitioners.

When our practice first started we were lucky to be offered affordable space in another established healing arts center. This enabled us to grow without the fixed costs of owning expensive equipment or paying high rental fees that we couldn't afford. Eight years and two successful studios later, we'd like to extend the favor back to others who are truly wanting to be of service in this world while making a livable wage. This includes Reiki, acupuncture, massage, Thai bodywork, private yoga instructors, holistic health counselors, therapists, etc. If you feel this may be a good match for you, please email or call us and come in for an interview with the director of the school.

Please note that only qualified, certified practitioners are eligible, and the room rental does not include an official affiliation with The Reiki School and Clinic. We are providing lovely space, GREAT vibes, a warm open community, space for you to post your business cards/fliers, and interactions with lots of other amazing individuals coming and going on a regular basis. The treatment rooms are fully furnished, with a massage table, chairs, waiting area, music, etc. You are responsible for providing any sheets, oils, or other things you may need to serve your clients.

We also have a large (800 + sq foot) classroom space available some weekends and weekdays for workshops and larger classes.

We've been working on putting this trip together for a v-e-r-y long time!

It's our dream to bring the Philly Reiki peeps to Israel to meet our amazing Reiki friends and to learn, relax, go deeper and share there. Also, to take a tour of this magical place and visit my very favorite place in the world.... the exquisite village of Clil. It's a magical, sustainable, artist community up in the mountains of Israel, 1/2 hour from the beach.

We'll spend half of our trip in Clil and the other half visiting the other popular and sacred sites of Israel.
