Meet The Team
The Reiki School and Clinic was founded in 1999 by Reiki Masters Kimberly Fleisher and George Barrick. The School provides a faculty of professional, dedicated healers and educators. Each staff member maintains a private practice in addition to teaching/practitioning.
Kimberly Fleisher
Director, Reiki Practitioner/Teacher, RMT, MEd
A traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master, Kim has been practicing Reiki since 1996. Trained and certified in Israel, in 1997 she returned to Philadelphia to realize her vision of creating an accessible Reiki community. This manifested as The Reiki School and Clinic, a place where people could learn, practice, and receive Reiki sessions. Kim serves as general director of the school, and she also teaches classes and gives professional sessions. In addition to teaching Reiki, she has taught preschool and elementary education. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Chestnut Hill College.

Tania Alexandra Habenicht
Massage & Reiki Practitioner/Teacher, Office Administrator, RMT, CMT, CYT
A certified massage therapist, Tania wishes everyone in the world could receive a professional massage once a week for the rest of their lives. Her interest in bodywork began with her desire to learn more about the mind-body connection. This lead her to Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies in Haddonfield, NJ, where she attained her certification in May of 2001. She has been practicing massage ever since.
A typical massage with Tania can incorporate a combination of techniques including Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Myofacial work, energy work, Reflexology and stretching. She plans her sessions depending on the needs of her clients combined with her own intuitive practice. She is also a Reiki practitioner.
In addition to massage, Tania is a certified yoga teacher at Inner Bliss Yoga Center, a performing singer songwriter, has taught various forms of music/movement classes and workshops throughout the northeast, and works in collaboration with Dr. Michael Fowlin to bring assemblies to schools focusing on self acceptance, compassionate understanding, and diversity awareness.

Michael Murphy
Reiki Practitioner/Teacher, RMT, CMT
I was first attracted to Reiki for my own personal healing and growth. I was attuned to Reiki two months after my first session, and immediately began using it on myself. I found The Reiki School and Clinic after my second attunement and was instantly drawn to its sense of community, sort of like the little bee in the video for "No Rain" by Blind Melon. The Reiki School is where I chose complete my training.
I am also a certified massage therapist, specializing in Therapeutic Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Chair Massage. When partnered with Reiki, a massage session can become even more of a treat for yourself or for someone you love! I now incorporate Reiki into every aspect of my life, for the good of myself and that of others.
In my spare time I currently volunteer for Siloam, a spiritual wellness center for people living with HIV/AIDS. Also, I've volunteered teaching Reiki at The Attic Youth Center, and performing chair massages to raise funds for local charities. The bonds created through practicing Reiki have been, for me, a testimonial unto itself. Contact Michael
Terence Newkumet
Reiki Practitioner/Teacher, RMT
The practice of Reiki is very close to my heart. When Kim first taught me the process of channeling Reiki energy for healing, my wife was pregnant with our son, Dylan James. We all benefited greatly from the Reiki treatments; the healing energy helped to ease the discomforts of pregnancy and delivery. Reiki continues to be a blessing to our lives. It is an honor to be able to give back that love and support by being a part of this healing community. As a practitioner, I am excited to be able to offer professional healing sessions to all members of the life circle including plants, animals, cars, and homes. And of course people too.
